Dr Richard (Tony) Fenton graduated from The Ohio state University College of Optometry in 1989. He has been the medical director at VisionMakers for over twenty years. He is a twenty five year member of the American Optometric Association, the Ohio Optometric Association and the Miami Valley Society of Optometrists. Dr Fenton is the Chairman of the Dayton chapter of Prevent Blindness Ohio where he donates many volunteer hours of his time.
Dr Fenton and his wife Jeni have a son, Aaron and two daughters Ryan and Riley. Dr Fenton is an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and enjoys playing drums in his band that consists of all optometrists.
Iain Kelly, O.D. graduated in 1990 from Illinois College of Optometry. He is the only diplomat on the American Board of Optometry in the Dayton area. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and a member of the AOA's InfantSEE® program. Dr. Kelly and his wife Teresa are both active members of the Beavercreek Lions Club. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his children and granddaughter.
Richard Slamer, O.D graduated from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1976. He then joined the practice of Thomas R. Stahl, O.D. and Beavercreek Vision Center becoming a prominent optometrist in Beavercreek.He is a member of the American Optometric Association and a member of the Ohio Optometric Association for fourty years.
He resides in Beavercreek with his wife Sue and spends a great deal of time with their children and five grandchildren. He is an avid cyclist and is also on the board of the Nazarene Church in Xenia.
Dr Eddie Mercado graduated from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1998. He is an active member of the American Optometric Association, Ohio Optometric Association and Miami Valley Society of Optometrists and has been a partner at VisionMakers since 2002.
He and his wife Tami have three active children. With his free time, Dr Mercado enjoys watching all his children's activities and participating in local triathlon events.
Dr. Kerri Jones graduated from Illinois College of Optometry in1998. She is a Dayton native who grew up in Centerville. She attended undergrad at Ohio University, and then moved to Chicago to attend optometry school. There she stayed and practiced for many years before recently returning to the Dayton area. In Chicago, she volunteered providing eye exams to inner city children whom did not have access to medical care, and travelled to various Chicago Public Schools teaching students about vision and eye care.
She and her husband Matthew have two sons who are both active in many sports and cubscouts. Dr. Jones enjoys spending time with her family and friends, all outdoor activities, exercising, and reading.
Dr. David Jancaro was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. He attended St. Vincent College where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2010. He then completed 4 years of doctorate training at The Ohio State University College of Optometry, graduating in 2014. He is trained in the management of ocular disease, contact lens fitting, and pediatrics, in addition to routine eye care. He is proud to represent VisionMakers and is committed to providing exceptional eye care to each of his patients.
Dr. Jancaro and his wife Kelsey (also an optometrist!) live in Natrona Heights and are members of St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Vandergrift, PA. In his spare time, Dr. Jancaro enjoys spending time with friends and family, golfing, and rooting on the Penguins, Pirates, and Steelers!
